How to do leakage test with our Automotive Smoke Machine? Step 1 Fill (baby oil or mineral oil based) smoke oil into the smoke machine. Note: The oil level shall not exceed the level gauge. Step 2 Disconnect the pipes that need to be conneced with detector. Step 3 Connect 12V vehicle power to start the device. Step 4 In about 30 seconds, the pipe will be filled with smoke. Check the leak points and use head lamp if necessary. It is a professional auto pipe leak detect tool for most vehicle, which helps you to find out leaks in the following systems. Car Sealing Test: Poor airtightness of the car may lead to inability to keep warm dusty, not soundproof, and not waterproof ,etc. Fuel Tank System Test: When there is a gap in the fuel tank and piping caused by improper installation, it will cause leaks in the fuel tank system. Exhaust System Test: When leaks happened in the exhaust, unpurified harmful gases to be discharged into the atmosphere and generate vehicle noise. Intake System Test: Leakage in the air intake system will lead to insufficient intake of the car engine. EVAP System Test: Leakage of the fuel evaporation system will cause fuel vapor to leak into the atmosphere, causing waste and pollution or unstable engine idling. Crankcase System Test: Excessive pressure or corrosion of the crankcase is the main reason to damage the seal of the crankcase and cause oil leakage. Various Pipe Fittings Test: Smoke testing of brake hoses, power steering hoses, cooling system hoses, air conditioning system hoses, turbocharger hoses, fuel hoses, intake and exhaust system hoses, etc. Note: Not applicable to air conditioning system piping. Warming Tips - In first time use, please fill with 10ml test liquid into the car smoke leak detector. Both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK, the oil level shall not exceed the level gauge. - Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the oil left in the detector. The fresh oil can be filled with only when the smoke gets thin, cant be filled over 20ml each time. - During the process of leak detection, must keep away from smoke-sensitive parts. Please be careful with the round part of the leak detector with high temperature to avoid burns hurt.
