Description

Important safety and usage notes - The output wiring must not be connected in reverse or shorted. - If the unit is connected to an inductive load, the minimum input voltage should be approximately 24 V and the maximum output power should be limited (for example, 500 W). - When the input power source is a switching power supply, a solar panel, or an electric generator, set the undervoltage protection value lower to avoid damage. Low input voltage protection adjustment - To configure a low input protection for a 12 V battery, connect the inputs with a voltage of 10 V and adjust RV1. Turn RV1 clockwise to increase, or counterclockwise to decrease, until the UVLO indicator lights. - The protection voltage is now 10 V. When the battery voltage falls to 10 V, the protection will not raise the voltage and the output voltage will track the input voltage. Voltage adjustment instructions - Power on the unit with no load connected, then adjust the V-ADJ potentiometer. - Turn V-ADJ clockwise to increase the output voltage and counterclockwise to decrease it. - Note: due to the large output capacitance, the response to voltage adjustments may be slow, especially when changing from high to low voltage. Current setting instructions - Set the CC A-ADJ potentiometer about 30 turns counterclockwise to minimize the output current before connecting to the load. - Then turn CC A-ADJ clockwise to the desired current value. - When using the unit to charge a battery, connect the battery to the output after it has been fully discharged. The charging current will decrease as the remaining energy in the battery increases.
