It can control four independent serial ATA channels, each channel has its own serial ATA bus and supports one serial ATA device. Silicon Image SiI3114 SATA controller chip complies with PCI specification revision 2.3, 32Bit, 33/66Mhz, and complies with Serial ATA 1.0 specification. Provides four independent channels, supports up to four serial ATA drives, supports RAID0 (striping), RAID1 (mirroring), RAID5 (parity RAID), RAID 0 + 1 (mirroring + striping) and oncatenation modes. When not in a RAID set, the HDD operates normally and supports SATA up to 150MB/sec. RAID function, supports RAID function 0 or 1, supports coexistence of RAID sets and non-RAID HDDs, and allows HDDs of different sizes to be configured in RAID sets.
