These substances are volatile oils that plants use to protect themselves from insects and microorganisms, so they have a very powerful biological action. The volatility of these substances allows them to be isolated normally by steam distillation. Dilute in water or vegetable oil. Always use essential oils in dilution (recommended 1-4%). - May cause irritation in sensitive individuals. - Internal consumption of essential oils, particularly undiluted, is not recommended except under professional supervision. Some oils are for external use only. Talk to a doctor before using pure essential oils on pregnant women and children under three years of age. - It is recommended to dilute essential oils used on the skin in a very penetrating vegetable oil or add them to bath water. - Essential oils can be used separately or in combination, but the concentration should never exceed 5%. - Keep out of reach of children. - Some oils may cause skin irritation and/or sensitization and should be used in dilutions of less than 1-2%. Some oils should be used more carefully. - Certain essential oils, especially citrus oils, react to sunlight. It is therefore advisable to use them at night. (except for use in shampoos and soaps). - In case of accidental ingestion of excessive amounts or oils for external use, drink half a litre of water and go to the doctor. - Avoid contact with essential oils near the eyes or mucous membranes. If this occurs, wash with plenty of water. If discomfort persists after 10 minutes, consult a doctor. Store in a cool, dry place.
