This is a hand-painted plastic figure set containing 6 individual figures. All are representative of many of the diverse roles among American Railroad personnel. Two of the figures are representative of a Train Driver and his accompanying Fireman. The driver is configured seated with his hands operating the controls whilst the fireman has a shovel to hand ready to fill the firebox. Another figure in a standing pose is using his hands to give visual instructions and directions to a driver, perhaps manoeuvring a locomotive in a shunting yard. Another figure looks to be an old hand wearing dungarees and offering advice or comments to a colleague. The final two figures represent customer-facing staff, namely a Conductor and a Waiter, both of whom are smartly attired in their respective uniforms. Despite its title, this set would still lend itself well to populate railway operations of varying locations around the world where its constituent figures would be going about their daily tasks.
