As long as there are nearby devices within 10-50 meters, the equipment can be located. Positioning is near real-time when devices are in proximity. The more devices nearby, the more accurate the positioning becomes. If no devices are present, location updates will occur once devices come within range, with updates typically within 5 to 15 minutes. The device emits a secure Bluetooth signal every two seconds, which allows nearby devices such as smartphones and computers to receive the signal and upload the information to iCloud as a service to generate location data. Only the owner of the locator can access the location information. The greater the number of nearby devices, the faster and more accurate the location updates. This product is best suited for use in urban areas or locations with high device density. Remote areas or locations with few nearby devices may not provide optimal performance.
