Step 2: Position the new rubber strip over the flat edge where the old rubber was removed, allowing it to overlap slightly onto the roof material. Use additional adhesive to reinforce bonding. Note: Adhesive sets quickly, so ensure correct placement before application. The new rubber provides a slightly larger profile where it overlaps the chrome, improving the weather seal and helping protect the roof ing from UV exposure. This repair solution has been tested through multiple seasons in various weather conditions. Avoid using high-pressure water cleaning methods on the roof or seal. Clean with a sponge and rinse with water if needed.
