Lunar Caravan Gas Locker Spring Struts - Clubman, Stellar, Lexon, Quasar. "PAIR" Gas springs to fit the Lunar Clubman/Stellar, Lexon, Quasar etc. front gas locker-and other caravans that have gas struts with an extended length of 285mm and ball type end fitting. The actual ball diameter is 8mm. Thread at the end of the strut for the end fitting is 6mm (M6) Ball studs, caravan & my wife are not included with the struts. The springs are rated at 125Newtons and are a direct replacement for the originals. Just clip the old ones off and clip these on . As with everything on caravans, they are built for lightness and therefore strength is sometimes compromised in favour of less weight. The gas locker door is no exception. For anyone interested in improving their locker door, pictures how I have strengthened the strut mounts on the locker door by cutting a hole at the end of the door inner moulding and pressing Fibrofil-made by Tetrosyl (a mixture of glass fibre and resin mix) into the cavity. Lunar have already braced the opposite mount on the body using angled aluminium section. Also, how I have made a brace for the gas locker surround which forms part of the caravan front panel. This makes the whole assembly rock solid and by adjusting the latch on the door lock I now have a securely closing door without any flapping around in the wind.
