The side with wax is the top and should remain above water. Do not remove the wax, as it helps retain moisture. The side without wax is the bottom and should be submerged in water. Add water up to approximately 0.5 cm. Avoid prolonged high water levels, as this may cause rot, odor, or plant damage. 2. If water develops an odor, discontinue soaking immediately. Dry the base in a cool, shaded area, then replace with fresh water. Change water regularly and allow the plant to rest without water for one day per week. Keep the container clean. 3.
