Instructions for Use:
How to analyze soil fertility?
1. Remove the topsoil about 5 cm; then loosen the soil down to 13 cm deep. Remove organic impurities such as leaves and roots that may affect results.
2. Moisten the soil with water until muddy. (Rain or distilled water is recommended.)
3. Wipe the probe with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Turn the function button to the leftmost position.
5. Insert the probe into the soil until the soil level is no more than 2.5 cm from the device body. Wait up to 10 seconds for the reading to stabilize.
6. Record the data. Remove the probe and clean it thoroughly.
Interpretation of Results:
Nitrogen:
- Low: less than 50 ppm
- Ideal: 50–200 ppm
- High: greater than 200 ppm
Phosphorus:
- Low: less than 4 ppm
- Ideal: 4–14 ppm
- High: greater than 14 ppm
Potassium:
- Low: less than 50 ppm
- Ideal: 50–200 ppm
- High: greater than 200 ppm
Unit: ppm (parts per million)
If results show "Low":
Nutrient levels are insufficient. Apply liquid fertilizer as needed based on plant requirements. Follow fertilizer package instructions.
If results show "Ideal":
Nutrient levels are optimal. Apply fertilizer monthly as needed, in combination with watering.
If results show "High":
Nutrient levels are excessive.
1. Leach excess nutrients with water.
2. For potted plants, consider repotting with fresh soil.
3. Avoid adding fertilizer; instead, incorporate organic matter such as compost, plant residues, or leaves.
