1200V Reverse-Rated Rotating Diode

The ZX150 12R rectifier diode combines stainless steel mechanical strength with ceramic enamel dielectric protection to deliver consistent performance across extreme operational windows. It carries 150 A average forward current (IF(AV)) at 100 °C, survives 3000 A surge peaks (10 ms), and sustains 1200 V reverse voltage with only 8 mA leakage at 150 °C. Forward voltage is 1.30 V (450 A, 25 °C) and improves to 0.85 V at elevated junction temperature, supported by 2.0 mΩ dynamic resistance and 0.18 °C/W junction-to-case thermal resistance. Mounting torque is specified at 10 N·m for both heat sink and terminals. Storage and operating temperature range is –40 °C to +150 °C. Designed specifically for rotating exciter applications, it enables stable DC field current delivery under variable rotor speed and load, thanks to its balanced forward conduction and reverse blocking characteristics. The low rF and VF values reduce resistive heating, while the high VR rating prevents breakdown during open-circuit or regulator fault scenarios.
