Features:The Engine Interface Module is a sealed, engine-mounted module that provides switching relays for the starter motor solenoid, glow plug, and fuel solenoid. Each circuit is protected with individual fuses mounted in the module. Individual LEDs illuminate when each circuit is energized.Two versions of the Engine Interface Module are available: EIM Basic: Used with control panels equipped with overspeed shutdown capability.EIM Plus: Designed for use with control panels not equipped with overspeed shutdown.Overspeed Signal (EIM Plus only): The EIM Plus monitors the speed signal from the magnetic pickup. If engine speed exceeds a preset threshold, the module sends a zero-volt signal to the generator set control panel to activate the overspeed fault circuitry.The overspeed set point is factory set at 55 Hz for 50 Hz generator sets and 66 Hz for 60 Hz generator sets. Adjustment can be made using the screw accessible through the hole next to the overspeed setup LED. With the engine running at rated speed (1500 rpm for 50 Hz or 1800 rpm for 60 Hz), adjust the screw until the overspeed setup LED just turns off.
