This ZX150 12R rectifier diode features a stainless steel body and ceramic enamel coating, delivering exceptional resistance to thermal stress, oxidation, and mechanical wear. It supports an average forward current of 150 A (at 100 °C, sine half-wave), withstands 3000 A non-repetitive surge current (10 ms, 720 V), and maintains low forward voltage (1.30 V @ 450 A, 25 °C; 0.85 V @ 150 °C) with only 2.0 mΩ dynamic resistance. Reverse leakage remains tightly controlled at 8 mA under 1200 V reverse bias at 150 °C. Thermal resistance from junction to case is 0.18 °C/W, supporting efficient heat dissipation when mounted with 10 N·m torque on both heat sink and terminals. Storage and operating ambient ranges span –40 °C to +150 °C. The diode’s fast switching behaviour minimises energy loss during state transitions, directly contributing to improved excitation control accuracy and reduced harmonic distortion in the generator’s output waveform. Its unidirectional conduction with high reverse voltage tolerance ensures clean DC field supply even during fault conditions or regulator transients.
