16A IP66 Dual Socket Outdoor Waterproof

Measures 118 mm (L) × 78 mm (W) × 55 mm (D); weighs ~280 g; rated for continuous 16A operation; meets IP66 international standard for total dust exclusion and resistance to powerful water jets from any direction; housing fabricated from high-grade, UV-resistant polycarbonate with inherent corrosion resistance; precision-moulded silicone gasket creates consistent compression seal; grey-coloured switch loop engages positively to hold cover closed and compress seal; built-in locking hole plus two padlock mounting points; cable entry supports solid or stranded conductors up to 2.5 mm²; deep wiring chamber allows separation of live/neutral/earth and avoids crowding. The locking hole prevents unintentional opening — particularly important in households with young children or elderly users. The switch loop enables full functionality without removing the cover — meaning you can safely connect devices while maintaining full weather protection. Installation follows simple three-step process: open case, insert cables into tool-less terminals, reassemble — no calibration or alignment required. Designed for demanding applications including caravan hook-ups, outdoor kitchen power feeds, workshop perimeters, municipal street furniture, and retrofitting older properties with compliant outdoor power points meeting BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) requirements.
