20A Metal-Housed Boost Module

Engineered for demanding DC voltage step-up applications, this converter module uses a durable metal enclosure and supports 8–60V DC input to generate a smooth, regulated 12–80V DC output. Rated for continuous 20A output (with thermal derating above 15A), its maximum power scales with input voltage: 240W at 12V input, up to 1200W at 60V input. It operates at 150kHz switching frequency and achieves up to 95% efficiency depending on voltage differential and load. Quiescent draw is just 15mA at typical low-voltage inputs. Connection is simplified with solderless output terminals, and mechanical mounting is enabled by four 3mm screw holes. Safety features include user-adjustable overcurrent protection (0.5–20A range), automatic current foldback on overload (minimum 5A maintained), dual short-circuit protection (internal + 20A input fuse), and built-in output backflow blocking — no external diode required for charging use cases. Input reverse polarity protection is not included (external diode advised). Ambient operating range spans -40°C to +85°C; enhanced cooling is recommended for sustained >15A operation or large input-output voltage gaps. Two units may be paralleled to deliver up to 30A total output — each module independently configured to 15A — enabling scalable power solutions without redesigning the entire system.
