The slimmer M8 size suits adjustable spacers, guide rods, alignment pieces and light non-metallic fixing points where a metal rod is not needed. PP is lightweight, electrically insulating and absorbs very little moisture, with resistance to many acids and alkalis when the environment is suitable. It is less stiff than nylon or steel, so check the joint design, nut engagement and service conditions before fitting. Cut to length for matched spacers or shorter threaded sections.
