Verify the existing light switch has two wires. If three wires are present, a three-wire switch is required. 2. Cut the two wires from the existing light switch using a wire stripper. 3. Strip approximately 1/2 inch of insulation from the black wires. 4. Connect one black wire from the light switch to one black wire from the ceiling fan. 5. Connect the other black wire from the light switch to the other black wire from the ceiling fan. 6. Secure all wire connections using approved wire connectors by twisting clockwise. 7.
