3000/1 Micro Split Core Current Transformer Sensor AC Open Type CT Clamp 80A

Split Core Current Transformer for AC Power Monitoring This split core current transformer is designed for accurate AC current measurement in a wide range of electrical monitoring applications. With a 3000/1 transformation ratio, it steps down high primary currents to a safe, measurable secondary level, making it suitable for use with energy meters, power analysers and protective relays. The open-type split core design allows for quick and convenient installation without the need to disconnect existing wiring, which is particularly useful when retrofitting monitoring equipment to live circuits. 80A Current Rating This model is the 80A primary current rating version, suitable for smaller residential or light commercial circuits. Other ratings in the range, including 120A, 200A, 300A, 500A and 750A, are available as separate catalogue options rather than selectable on this listing. This 80A unit is designed to match the actual current draw of the equipment being monitored within its rating. Simple Clamp-On Installation The split core construction features a hinged opening that clips around the conductor under test, eliminating the need to disconnect cables or interrupt power supply during installation. This makes the transformer particularly well suited to panel boards, distribution boxes and existing electrical installations where downtime needs to be kept to a minimum. Once clamped in place, the sensor provides reliable current sensing for ongoing energy management and load monitoring.
