3.5in Copper Stump Kill Nails Bulk Pack

This bulk pack delivers 25 functional components specifically engineered for long-term stump suppression: 23 pure copper nails (3.5 inches × 3.5 mm), 1 stainless steel nail (3.5 inches × 3.5 mm), and 1 cobalt-enhanced high-speed steel drill bit nail (2.7 inches × 3.5 mm). Dimensions are verified per batch to ensure interchangeability and ease of use across varied stump densities — from soft willow to dense oak remnants. Copper’s natural biostatic properties combine with stainless steel’s tensile strength and cobalt-HSS’s thermal resilience to form a cohesive, field-tested system. The process leverages copper’s slow oxidative dissolution in moist xylem tissue: inserted nails generate localized Cu²⁺ saturation, inhibiting cellulose synthase and polyphenol oxidase — two enzymes vital for wound sealing and secondary growth. Results manifest as reduced sprouting, bark cracking, and eventual heartwood softening — all without disturbing adjacent root systems or requiring protective gear. Developed for practical UK conditions — including variable soil pH, high ambient humidity, and seasonal temperature fluctuations — this kit supports responsible land management for hobby growers, smallholdings, and municipal green space teams aiming for minimal environmental footprint and maximum operational simplicity.
