3P 1000VDC PV Surge Protector

This DC surge protective device is designed specifically for photovoltaic systems, with a nominal discharge current (In) of 20 kA and maximum discharge capacity (Imax) of 40 kA. It features a robust flame-retardant polycarbonate (PC) housing offering impact resistance and corrosion resistance. The unit operates continuously at up to 1000 VDC, with built-in short-circuit protection against overcurrent, overheating, and thermal runaway. Its working principle activates instantly during lightning-induced overvoltage events, diverting surge energy safely to ground. Installation follows standard 35 mm DIN rail mounting, compatible with distribution board circuit breakers. Visual status indication shows green for normal operation and red for fault condition. Rated IP20 protection, it functions reliably across -40°C to +80°C ambient temperatures and up to 90% relative humidity (at 25°C average).
