How it works
The device uses a touch sensor to operate a singlekey bistable switch. In selflocking mode the output toggles on each touch and remains on until the next touch; in inching mode the output briefly activates with each touch.
It can directly drive loads up to 2.5A at a 330V supply, making it suitable for small lighting and control circuits.
The sensing distance of up to 8 mm provides reliable operation on flat acrylic panels, casings, and veneers.
At powerup, the output state can be configured by wiring a resistor at terminal A:
Resistor present at A: output closes on powerup
No resistor at A: voltage is output on powerup
Use scenarios
Scenario 1: Touchactivated LED lighting in an acrylic display cabinet. Supply 12V DC, up to 2.5A. Use selflocking mode for toggling lights on/off with each touch, or inching mode for momentary light activation.
Scenario 2: Touch switch for a small LED strip in a product showcase. Install on an acrylic or veneer panel with up to 8 mm sensing distance to ensure reliable activation without pressing a physical switch.
Scenario 3: Poweron startup control for a compact appliance or device in a cabinet or case. Use the resistoratA option to ensure the device powers on in a defined state when the system is energized.
Notes
Ensure the supply voltage remains within 330V DC and the load does not exceed 2.5A to prevent damage.
The unit is intended for lowpower applications and direct drive of compatible loads without additional relays or drivers.
The design supports use on acrylicpanel enclosures and veneer surfaces where a touchenabled control is desirable.
