5A Manual Reset Thermal Protector

A self-resetting thermal protector rated for 5A continuous duty, housed in a compact matte-black thermoplastic case (~22 × 13 × 30 mm). Features exposed pushbutton for intuitive manual reset after thermal trip. Operates purely on heat generated by current flow — no electronics, no calibration, no firmware. Rated for use in circuits up to 250V AC or 60V DC (standard for Class II thermal breakers unless otherwise specified), with breaking capacity sufficient for typical low-energy fault currents. Internally, current flows through a calibrated resistance path linked to a bimetallic lever; excess heat causes deflection, opening the circuit. Cooling restores shape; pressing the button re-latches the contact. Cycle life exceeds 500 full trip/reset operations under rated load. Terminal type supports standard spade or screw connections. Typical deployments include protecting benchtop lab power supplies, rechargeable battery packs (e.g., LiFePO4 12V systems), smart home sensor hubs, caravan fridge control boards, and retrofitted motorcycle lighting — all benefiting from visible status (button position indicates open/closed state) and immediate fault recovery.
