Adjustable 80V Boost Converter Module

A versatile, high-power DC-DC boost converter designed for professional and industrial use: accepts 8–60V DC input and outputs a fully adjustable 12–80V DC voltage, with user-defined current limiting from 0.5A to 20A. Maximum output power reaches 1200W (60V × 20A), scaling linearly with input voltage (e.g., 48V × 20A = 960W). Built with a conductive metal case and mounted via four 3mm screw holes, it features solderless output terminals for reliable, maintenance-friendly connections. Operating at 150kHz ensures compact magnetics and stable regulation. Efficiency peaks at up to 95% under optimal voltage differential and load conditions. Quiescent current is only 15mA at low input voltages, rising modestly with higher output settings. Thermal design supports operation from -40°C to +85°C ambient, though sustained output above 15A or high-ratio boosting (e.g., 12V→80V) demands added heatsinking or forced air. Comprehensive protection includes adjustable overcurrent foldback (output reduces to ≥5A on limit breach), dual short-circuit defence (electronic + 20A fuse), and built-in reverse-current blocking at the output — eliminating the need for external diodes in battery backup or charging configurations. Input reverse polarity protection is absent and must be added externally if required. Two units may be paralleled for up to 30A total output, each independently calibrated to 15A.
