Six old high school friends meet up for a reunion aboard a luxury yacht. When the group decide to take a swim, they find themselves in shark infested waters, unable to get back onto the yacht. They had forgotten to let the ladder down before jumping into the sea. To make matters even more terrifying for aqua-phobic Amy, her new-born baby Sara is still on the yacht. Miles from shore, the group get increasingly desperate and begin to turn on one another. This low-budget thriller makes use of the success of OPEN WATER to tell its own story of people stranded in dangerous waters and is well-crafted, tense and dramatic. Director Hans Horn attempts to deliver palpable terror with ADRIFT and he succeeds in making in a shocking film due to the plot's plausibility.
