The confetti is not designed to "dissolve." Instead, it breaks down or degrades with some time. Water and warm weather speeds up this process.  So, I like to say that after a few short days, most of it would be completely gone. NB I cannot be held responsible should one of our confetti colours leave a mark. It is highly unlikely but on a rare occasion it may happen.
