Black wire connects directly to earth on the outboard. Emergency kill switch with lanyard for all outboard motors. Many older outboard motors do not have protection to stop the engine if the operator falls overboard. This device includes a lanyard that attaches to the operator's wrist or clothing and will shut off the engine in the event of an accident. The switch is open circuit and closes when activated by pulling the lanyard or by pressing the red button.
