Brass M42 Macro Extension Kit

A precision-engineered brass M42 macro extension kit comprising three rigid, hollow tubes: 7mm, 14mm, and 28mm. Designed for photographers using vintage or modern M42-mount SLR systems, the kit enables true macro by increasing the distance between lens and sensor — shifting minimum focus distance inward and increasing image scale. All tubes feature knurled end rings for secure grip, smooth internal bore, and blackened interior surface to reduce internal reflection. Manual focus and manual exposure are required; aperture must be set on the lens before mounting (lenses with physical aperture rings retain full adjustment; others default to smallest f-number). Magnification scales linearly: e.g., 28mm extension with a 50mm lens gives ~0.56×; stacking all three yields 49mm extension (~0.98×). Ideal for reproducible macro work in studio, field, or archival settings — especially where lens character, contrast, and resolution are non-negotiable.
