Manduca is a new 100% plant-based food. It is made only from carob seed, with a simple and natural process. Currently there are few sources of plant protein as an alternative to animal-origin meats. Soya and legume flours such as pea are the most used. These options consume significant natural resources, come from places very far from our geography, and to be attractive to the final consumer, they are marketed as ultra-processed. The carob tree grows endemically throughout the Mediterranean basin, does not require irrigation, fertilization, or fumigation, is hand-harvested, and its cultivation is ancestrally linked to the agricultural culture of the Mediterranean. It contains more than 60% protein. Manduca is a dehydrated granulated food ready to cook. You only need to rehydrate it with water and add it to any recipe, perfectly replacing minced meat. It has a neutral taste: it absorbs the flavor of the preparations to which it is added. Hydrate for one hour and add in the final cooking stage of the recipe.  Let the preparation rest for a few minutes so that the Manduca absorbs the flavors.
