Clara Moto - Polyamour [CD]

In her first album released in 2010, Clara Moto provides ample proof of her allegiance to electronic music. Her affection for the genre comes in many forms, each imbued with her unique brand of femininity, and she embraces it in all its diversity and spontaneity. Clara takes life snapshots, fragments of emotions and her daily – and nightly – perceptions and turns them into sounds.
Clara Moto is polyamorous: the full-on intensity of simple little love stories moves her more than relational exclusivity agreements of epic proportions. With her friend Mimu, Clara has seized every opportunity to line some of her poppier productions on "Silently", "Joy Of My Heart" and "Deer & Fox". She weaves her sound textures with cinematic tropes on "Emory Bortz" and "Goodnight Twilight", and galactic synthesisers on "Song of Exhaustion" a Catlike on "Alma", conquering on "Take a Second", hypnotic on "Three Minutes", Clara's productions alternate between pressure and release, matters of the mind and matters of the flesh, motion and contemplation.
Her "Polyamour" diary winds up with the stripped-bare aesthetics of "The Opposite is also Wrong". But fear not, this is no permanent closure, the narrative is in the making, and we'll make sure more emotion-drenched tales find their way to you before long.
