Colander Spatula Drain Spoon

This colander spatula drain spoon is 30 cm long and made entirely from food-grade polypropylene. At just 85 g, it’s notably lighter than stainless steel alternatives but retains sufficient rigidity for confident handling. The strainer segment is 12 cm wide and 8 cm deep, featuring evenly distributed, laser-drilled holes for consistent drainage flow. The handle tapers gradually toward the head and incorporates a small, functional hanging loop at the end. Its dual-role functionality means it works equally well for lifting and turning foods during cooking (e.g., stirring simmering tomato sauce or flipping roasted peppers), and for final-stage draining — whether removing brine from pickled onions, separating cooked quinoa from water, or skimming foam from stock. The material resists staining from turmeric, beetroot, or tomato-based sauces, and shows no degradation after repeated exposure to vinegar or citrus marinades. Frequently chosen by UK home cooks preparing plant-based meals, batch-cooked soups, or family-style roasts — where efficiency, hygiene, and compatibility with everyday cookware matter more than decorative aesthetics. Its understated form aligns with modern British kitchen values: practical, durable, and quietly effective.
