Compact Alloy Steel Thread Extractor

A precision-engineered 74 × 16 mm (2.91 × 0.63 inch) thread extraction tool made from alloy steel, hardened through controlled heat treatment and protected with a phosphoric acid-derived phosphate finish. Optimised for safe, repeatable removal of stripped or seized internal threads in 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch water pipes — including copper, galvanised steel, and plastic-lined metal conduits. Its functional design prioritises mechanical advantage over brute force: the helical flute geometry converts hand-applied torque into radial expansion and axial pull, allowing secure engagement even when only 1–2 thread turns remain intact. This makes it uniquely effective on legacy installations where thread degradation is advanced but pipe replacement is undesirable.
