Copper Stump Removal Spikes 3.5 Inch

A purpose-built, UK-field-validated set for non-invasive stump suppression: 23 pure copper nails (3.5 inches × 3.5 mm), 1 stainless steel nail (3.5 inches × 3.5 mm), and 1 cobalt-doped high-speed steel drill bit nail (2.7 inches × 3.5 mm). All items share identical shank diameter for seamless transitions between drilling and driving stages. Copper provides sustained ion release; stainless steel ensures precise, non-deflecting pilot penetration; cobalt-HSS retains hardness above 600°C — critical for friction-heavy drilling in fibrous or resinous woods. Mechanically simple but biologically precise: drill 5–8 evenly spaced pilot holes just inside the bark margin, drive copper nails flush, and allow natural ion diffusion to impair root carbohydrate storage and cambial reactivation. Most noticeable effects appear in spring/summer growing seasons, with full efficacy achieved in 3–6 months depending on stump size and species — ideal for phased garden renovation projects. Designed for compatibility with UK soil types (clay, loam, chalk), seasonal moisture patterns, and common invasive or residual species (e.g., Japanese knotweed root fragments, leylandii stumps), this kit supports gradual, observable progress without noise, dust, or contractor scheduling dependencies.
