Copper Tree Stump Elimination Kit

A complete, ready-to-use solution for eliminating unwanted tree stumps and roots without machinery or chemicals. Includes 12 pure copper nails (9 cm × 3.5 mm), 1 stainless steel nail (9 cm × 3.5 mm), and 1 cobalt-infused high-speed steel drill bit nail (6.8 cm × 3.5 mm). All nails maintain identical cross-sectional geometry—ensuring compatibility between pilot drilling and final installation stages. Copper provides slow-release ion toxicity specific to woody vascular tissue; stainless steel offers superior tensile strength for forceful entry into compacted root mass; cobalt-HSS delivers exceptional toughness when encountering silica-rich or laminated root fibres. To use: Start by tapping the stainless steel nail or drill bit nail into the outer root zone to form guide holes—this prevents splitting and directs copper nail placement accurately. Then insert copper nails at 5–8 cm intervals around the stump’s circumference, driving them flush or slightly below surface level. Over 4–12 weeks, copper accumulates in the cambium layer, inhibiting cell division and lignin synthesis—leading to progressive dieback. Because copper mobility in soil is extremely low (adsorbed tightly to clay and organic matter), its action remains localised—preserving beneficial microbes, mycorrhizae, and adjacent plant root systems.
