Cotton Rope Rainbow Wall Art

A 45 cm × 30 cm handwoven wall piece built on a foundation of 4 mm braided cotton rope, with colour bands formed from tightly spun 100% cotton yarn. Warp threads are tensioned manually on a portable frame to ensure vertical alignment; weft passes are beaten with a wooden comb for uniform density. Band height: 4.5 cm; inter-band gap: 2 mm. Tassel: 12 cm, made from same yarn, knotted in place. Top loop: 15 cm, constructed from doubled 3 mm cotton cord, anchored with figure-eight lashing. Total weight: 120 g. Dyeing follows UK Environmental Agency guidelines for small-scale artisan units — zero wastewater discharge; spent dye baths reused for secondary textile projects. Final product is air-dried flat and inspected for knot security, colour bleed, and structural symmetry. Comes with care card detailing spot-cleaning only (damp cloth, no detergents) and avoidance of direct sun exposure. Deployed across UK housing types: Victorian terraces (above fireplaces), new-build apartments (in entrance halls), rural cottages (on stone walls), and shared student houses (on partition walls). Also selected by UK wedding planners for boho-chic ceremony backdrops and gender-reveal event staging — where colour clarity and portability matter most.
