Otherwise, the device may not respond. If another person tests immediately after you, wait at least 5 minutes. If the reading exceeds 0.05% BAC, an alarm will sound — do not drive. If the reading is below 0.05% BAC, it indicates a lower alcohol level. How to Use: 1. Open the battery cover and insert three AAA batteries according to polarity. 2. Press the “Start” button. A short beep sounds, the backlight activates, and the screen displays a countdown from 100 to 000. The lower portion shows “WAIT”, indicating preheating. Do not blow during preheating, as it may affect accuracy. When preheating completes, “WAIT” disappears, the device beeps, and the screen displays “BLOW” along with a moving “C” indicator — then begin the breath test. Note: Countdown speed varies depending on ambient alcohol concentration — lower concentration results in faster countdown. 3. Take a deep breath and blow steadily and uniformly into the mouthpiece when the “C” indicator appears, until the device beeps. Then stop blowing. 4. After blowing, the screen displays “TEST” and begins analyzing. Do not blow again during analysis. Once complete, the measured alcohol concentration appears and remains visible for several seconds before the device automatically powers off.
