Dual 160mm Disc Brake Conversion Kit

A comprehensive mechanical disc brake conversion solution comprising front and rear calipers, two 160mm rotors (designed for F160/R160 symmetry), factory-fitted brake pads, and a calibrated rotor adjuster tool. Calipers and rotors are precision-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, offering superior corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity. Total assembled weight: ~680g. Rotor diameter: 160mm; thickness: 1.8mm; mounting: IS standard (74mm spacing); caliper piston type: dual-piston, non-floating. The brake pads provide immediate responsiveness, minimal audible feedback across temperature ranges, and stable friction coefficients after modest bedding-in. The caliper bracket redesign improves lateral stiffness and reduces deflection during cornering braking — directly enhancing rider feedback and control. The adjuster tool enables repeatable, zero-rub alignment by allowing controlled lateral translation of the caliper body relative to the rotor plane. Designed for riders upgrading from V-brakes or older mechanical discs. Compatible with most 26", 27.5", and 29" mountain bikes, plus endurance road and gravel bikes using IS-mount frames and forks. Requires standard 5mm and T25 tools for installation; no hydraulic bleeding or special fluids needed.
