It resembles a light soy sauce or tamari. To make coconut amino acids, sap is collected from coconut flowers, then mixed with sea salt and left to age and ferment for a long time. Additionally, coconut amino acids have approximately 65% less sodium than regular soy sauce. Originating from Indonesia from small farmers and gatherers, it is especially unique, unlike other Coconut aminos, this one is not as salty, it is a true delicacy in its kind, incomparable in flavor.
