Enclosure Hygrostat 65% RH Switch

Engineered for reliability in demanding industrial settings, this MFR012 hygrostat detects rising humidity and initiates heater activation precisely at 65% RH — a threshold validated to prevent condensation while avoiding unnecessary energy use. Its compact 67 × 50 × 38 mm body is made from UL94 V-0 light grey plastic and mounts directly onto standard 35 mm DIN rails (EN 50022), supporting any orientation without performance loss. Electrical interface uses a screw-type 3-pole terminal block rated for rigid conductors up to 2.5 mm² and ferruled stranded wires up to 1.5 mm², with maximum clamping torque of 0.5 Nm. The internal change-over contact is rated for 100,000 operations and handles switching capacities from 20 V AC/DC at 100 mA up to 250 VAC at 5 A (resistive) or 20 W DC. It maintains accuracy despite airflow up to 15 m/sec and operates continuously from 0°C to +60°C (32°F–140°F), with IP20 protection for indoor cabinet use only. Compliant with EN 55014-1-2, EN 61000-3-2 and EN 61000-3-3, it coexists peacefully with PLCs, drives, and communication gateways. Storage temperature range is −20°C to +80°C (−4°F–176°F), and its 4% RH switch differential (±3% tolerance) ensures stable, non-oscillatory control behaviour.
