Ergonomic Fine Mesh Fly Protector

This earless horse fly mask uses tightly woven fine mesh polyester fabric engineered for durability, breathability, and UV resistance. It conforms to BS EN 13758-1:2002 and A1:2006 for ultraviolet protection. Weighing only 95 g and measuring approx. 48 cm nose-to-poll, it features a stretch poll panel, reinforced darts for anatomical shaping, and microfleece padding at high-contact zones. Adjustment is achieved via dual touch-and-close fastenings — one at the muzzle, one under the cheek — supported by soft fleece trim and a two-tone aesthetic with integrated logo. Core performance lies in its balanced protection profile: fine mesh blocks flying pests while permitting full airflow and clear vision; UV filtering safeguards vulnerable skin; and the earless cut avoids pressure on sensitive auricular tissue. Reinforced darts hold shape during movement, and the stretch poll ensures consistent contact without constriction. Best suited for horses turned out during peak insect activity (dawn/dusk), those recovering from eye injuries or dermatitis, and animals with pink-nosed or grey coat types prone to sun damage. Also widely used by owners managing sweet itch (Culicoides hypersensitivity) as part of an integrated environmental control strategy.
