Flame Welding Torch 1300C

This liquefied gas torch combines functional ergonomics with proven thermal performance. Made from rubber and copper, it measures approximately 24 cm and weighs around 280 g — balancing heft for stability and lightness for fatigue-free handling. Its maximum flame temperature reaches up to 1300 °C, supporting both precious metal melting and flame-assisted joining. The unit is blue in colour, aiding recognition and differentiation in mixed-tool environments. It uses standard propane (not included), with straightforward manual flame regulation. Welding success depends on correct consumables and technique: only universal copper-aluminium flux-cored wire should be used — tin-based wire will not perform reliably. Target materials include copper, aluminium, iron, and stainless steel in sheet or tubing form. Castings are excluded due to inadequate heat transfer. Pre-heating to 350–400 °C is mandatory; visual cues (e.g., darkening oxide layer) help estimate readiness. If filler wire balls or fails to adhere, temperature or cleanliness should be reassessed. Its utility extends beyond metalwork: effective for outdoor cooking (searing, charring), baking (torched meringues), emergency pipe thawing, candle-making, resin curing, and general home upkeep — especially in locations lacking power access or requiring mobile heat sources.
