Floating Turtle Basking Platform Acrylic

A minimalist, function-first basking platform made from food-grade, aquarium-certified acrylic. Dimensions: 17.8 cm × 11.7 cm × 0.5 cm. Hangs from two independently adjustable cords with locking knots, allowing independent left/right tension control for perfect horizontal alignment. Total weight: 118 g. Designed for tanks with minimum water depth of 10 cm and maximum width of 60 cm. Acrylic chosen for neutral density — neither sinks nor floats uncontrollably — and engineered buoyancy balance ensures stable suspension without oscillation. Surface finish is lightly textured for traction but smooth enough to inhibit algae adhesion. Safe for continuous submersion of mounting points and compatible with silicone-sealed tanks. Field-tested in UK-based reptile rescue centres, where reliable, repeatable basking access significantly reduced incidence of metabolic bone disease presentations among surrendered specimens — underscoring its role in foundational husbandry support.
