Glass Triangular Prism Educational

This educational triangular prism comprises a precision-ground optical glass prism housed in a dedicated black plastic mounting bracket. Geometry: equilateral triangle, 50 mm sides, 60° apex angle. Glass type: optical crown glass (BK7 equivalent), refractive index nD = 1.5168 @ 589 nm; transmission ≥91.5% across visible spectrum. Bracket material: black ABS with matte texture, dimensions 75 × 55 mm base, height 40 mm max; total weight 108 g. The prism is secured in the bracket via a precision-machined dovetail slot — allowing firm hold during adjustment yet clean release with vertical lift. Tilt adjustment is smooth and stable across 0–85°, with soft-stop end points to prevent over-rotation. All surfaces are cleaned and inspected to ISO 10110 optical surface quality standards (scratch-dig 60-40), minimising scattering that could wash out spectral colours.
