Hand Eye Coordination Light Game

Physical dimensions: 22.6 × 4.7 × 15 cm (8.9 × 1.85 × 5.91 inches); weight optimised for tabletop stability and easy carrying. Housing is injection-moulded plastic with uniform wall thickness and edge radii exceeding 2 mm — eliminating snag risks. Buttons feature matte-textured surfaces and audible click feedback, sized to fit average palm width of 4–7 year olds. Internal electronics include a low-power microcontroller and LED driver circuitry, powered by a factory-sealed 3.7V 500mAh LiPo battery. Gameplay centres on reacting to moving light patterns — left-to-right, right-to-left, or random jumps — each accompanied by distinct chime tones. Children must match timing, direction, and colour in real time, progressively sharpening visual prediction, motor planning, and error correction. Background music evolves across modes (steady pulse, syncopated, call-and-response), introducing foundational musical literacy without notation or instruments. Designed for inclusive accessibility: high-contrast colour coding, clear spatial layout, and predictable response windows reduce cognitive load — making it appropriate for mainstream EYFS settings, specialist SEND provision, or bilingual households where language-independent cues are essential.
