Designed specifically for close and short-distance measurements, the VL53L4CD delivers highly accurate distance measurements with a range from 1 mm to 1300 mm. It features an 18° field of view, improved performance in ambient light, and a ranging speed of up to 100 Hz. Its autonomous mode and programmable ranging parameters enable very low power consumption, making it ideal for battery-powered devices. Fully integrated on-chip processing reduces design complexity and lowers bill-of-materials costs, allowing use of lower-power microcontrollers. Like all ST FlightSense time-of-flight (ToF) sensors, the VL53L4CD provides absolute distance measurements independent of target color or reflectivity.
