The AD5693R breakout board is a 16-bit DAC with an I2C interface and a temperature-compensated 2.5V internal reference for compact, high-precision output. The ADDR/A0 pin is broken out, allowing two DACs to be connected on one I2C bus by pulling the A0 pin high or closing the jumper on the back to prevent address conflicts. A 6-pin header is included for breadboarding. The board is compatible with both 3.3V and 5V logic levels. The output range can be set to either 2.5V or 5V (2xVref). When powered with 3.3V, the output range can be set to either 2.5V or Vin. An easy-to-use library and tutorial are available, including a sine wave output example compatible with most microcontrollers or microcomputers that support I2C communication. The board comes with a 0.1-inch standard header for use with breadboards or perfboards. It features four mounting holes for secure installation. An optional 3.5mm terminal block can be added to the PCB; however, the terminal block is not included. These blocks are commonly available and can be soldered in place if desired. For quick setup, a custom PCB is designed in the STEMMA QT form factor, enabling easy connections. The STEMMA QT connectors on both sides are compatible with Qwiic I2C connectors, allowing solderless connections between the board and other compatible sensors or accessories using appropriate cables.
