Interactive Gun Alarm Clock

Dimensions: 14.5 cm (W) × 9.5 cm (D) × 6.5 cm (H); weight: approx. 380 g. Equipped with a 12-hour digital LCD display featuring black-on-white contrast and dynamic backlighting — lit continuously under USB power, and for 30 seconds post-interaction on battery power. Powered by either 3x AAA batteries (not supplied) or the included USB power cable. Housing constructed from scratch-resistant ABS plastic with recessed infrared sensor for stable targeting performance. Displays time, day of week, date and alarm status with clear digit height (8 mm) for effortless reading from bed or desk. Two alarm response protocols are implemented: Normal Mode accepts both button press and infrared gun trigger; Hard Mode disables gun input entirely, enforcing tactile-only alarm cancellation. Two gamified wake-up options are available — Time Challenge (e.g., complete 3 hits before timer ends) and Shot Challenge (e.g., land 5 accurate shots) — each escalating engagement incrementally. A dedicated voice recording function captures user-defined alarm sounds up to 10 seconds, stored locally with no data upload or external dependency. Applicable in diverse contexts: supports early-years learning (matching time to routine), adolescent accountability (reducing habitual snoozing), adult circadian alignment (encouraging consistent wake windows), and office environments (non-disruptive yet effective team wake-up solutions). Its compact footprint and silent operation (except alarm audio) suit UK flats and shared housing where noise and space constraints are common.
