IP65 Programmable Garden Hose Timer

Built for the UK’s unpredictable climate, this hose timer features an IP65 ingress protection rating — verified resistance to rain, wind-driven dust and prolonged UV exposure. Housing is made from UV-stabilised resilient plastic, ensuring structural integrity and button function across seasons. Powered by two AAA 1.5V batteries (not included), it delivers over six months of uninterrupted operation under typical usage. Users can configure up to three independent daily watering events, each programmable from 1 to 120 minutes in precise 1-minute increments. It functions entirely off standard tap water pressure — no pump, transformer, or electrical outlet required. All programming is performed via dedicated physical buttons; no app, cloud service, or internet connection is involved or supported. This design reflects real UK gardening constraints: townhouse courtyards lacking power access; school grounds where IT policies restrict connected devices; community gardens maintained by rotating volunteer groups with varying technical familiarity; and polytunnels where condensation and temperature swings compromise non-sealed electronics. Its self-contained, offline nature ensures predictable behaviour regardless of network outages, battery type, or smartphone OS updates.
