M8 to M12 Thread Reducing Bushing

This thread repair insert is made from 303 stainless steel and measures approximately 12 mm (0.5 in) in length. It features a female M8 × 1.25 mm thread on the inner side and a male M12 × 1.75 mm thread on the outer side. A small longitudinal slot runs along its body to facilitate controlled expansion during installation, reducing insertion effort and improving thread engagement accuracy. Ideal for restoring worn or stripped tapped holes — for instance, when an M8 thread becomes loose, the host hole can be re-tapped to M10, then this bushing installed to reintroduce a robust M8 thread interface. Used extensively in precision manufacturing fields such as aerospace assembly, vehicle chassis repair, server rack hardware, and injection mould maintenance.
