MAX2870 based Signals Source module provides wideband clock generation with an integrated multiplexing VCO covering 3.0 GHz to 6.0 GHz and a 1-128 output frequency divider for flexible wideband clock output. The module integrates a 25 MHz 0.5 ppm TCXO as the reference. The internal VCO outputs in the 3.0–6.0 GHz range, and the baseband frequency is divided by 3 GHz. The signals source module features an LCD display; the output frequency mode supports fixed (point) frequency and selectable frequency options. With an external reference clock oscillator and filter, the MAX2870 forms a high-performance frequency synthesizer capable of generating clocks from 23.5 MHz to 6,000 MHz, while delivering excellent phase noise and low spurious performance.
