SPI-CANFD is an economical and efficient small-sized SPI to CANFD controller that uses the MCP2518FD as the control core. It can be easily integrated into microcontrollers or embedded systems via the SPI interface. The module supports CAN frames in both CAN2.0B and CANFD formats and complies with ISO11898-1:2015. It supports up to 1 Mbps arbitration bit rate and up to 8 Mbps data bit rate. The module features 31 configurable FIFOs for sending or receiving, one transmit queue, and a 32-bit timestamp for transmit event FIFOs. It has extremely low power consumption, drawing as low as 15 A in sleep mode and a maximum operating current of 20 mA.
